HOW IT WORKS: BETWAY SA20'S SEASON 2 PLAYOFFS

Betway SA20 is once again delivering an incredible summer of world-class T20 action and entertainment, and there's still so much more on offer for local cricket fanatics... not least the upcoming playoffs and Final.

Ahead of this season, South Africa's premier T20 league introduced a new playoffs structure, which will have the six teams jostling for the top four places right up until the last ball of the group stage is bowled.

The key change from Season 1's semi-final to final structure will see a Qualifier 1, Eliminator and Qualifier 2 setting up the road to the Final. In essence, the top two teams after the group stage will be rewarded for their consistency with two opportunities to reach this year's final, set for the hallowed Newlands on Saturday, 10 February.

More specifically:

QUALIFIER 1

The top two teams after the group stage will play each other at Newlands on 6 February at 17:30. The winner of the match will secure their place in the showpiece final, while the loser will have another opportunity in Qualifier 2.

ELIMINATOR

This is a straight shootout between the third and fourth-placed teams after the group stage. They will meet at Wanderers on 7 February (17:30) with the loser's Season 2 coming to an end, while the winner will live to fight another day.

QUALIFIER 2

The next day at Wanderers, 8 February at 17:30), the loser of Qualifier 1 and the winner of the Eliminator will battle it out in Qualifier 2. Their prize will be a place in the Final, against the winner of Qualifier 1.
