5 Nov 20264 mins

Betway SA20 is turning 5, and this summer the fans are the ones unwrapping the gifts with tickets going on sale from today, 5 November 2026.

The upcoming fifth season of South Africa’s premier T20 cricket League will take centre stage around the country from 17 January to 21 February 2027.

To beat the “Janu-worry” blues, Betway SA20 has offered its loyal fans the opportunity to secure match tickets with prices starting at an incredibly low R50 for all opening games and other selected matches. The R50 Frenzy tickets are limited, so fans are advised to move fast. Tickets for the Playoffs matches and the Final on 21 February are also on sale from today.

All tickets can be purchased online from today on sa20.co.za and at all stadium ticket offices from 15 November 2026.

Adding to the excitement, every supporter who has a ticket and attends a match during the competition will automatically be entered into a draw for the chance to win a brand-new car. Get a ticket, come to the match and you’re in. The more matches you attend, the more chances you get. The draw takes place after the competition. T&Cs apply.

The pre-sale window, which gave registered fans early access, saw strong demand, and high-profile matches, including the Final, are already selling fast. Fans are encouraged to buy their tickets early.

“Heading into our fifth season, Betway SA20 still belongs to the fans,” Betway SA20 League Commissioner Graeme Smith said. “They’ve filled our stadiums, brought the noise and made this League what it is, so Season 5 is our way of saying thank you. Together with our six franchises, we’ve made limited tickets available from just R50 and will give every fan who comes through the gates the chance to win a car. We want full stadiums from the very first ball, so get your tickets early.”

The St George’s Park band is set to launch the festivities in grand style when three-time champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape host Pretoria Capitals in a repeat of last season’s Final in the Season 5 opening game on Sunday, 17 January in Gqeberha.

South Africa’s summer cricket festival continues in Paarl, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg in an action-packed opening week.

With Mondays set aside as rest days after the opening week, weekends are packed with double-header action and a full day of non-stop entertainment for all.

Since its inception, Betway SA20 has been the summer event for all: a sporting spectacle and a social occasion rolled into one. Season 5 brings music and memories, rivalries and reunions, and stadiums ready to welcome the fans. With big sixes, one-handed catches, DJs, fireworks and food that fuels the night, it is the perfect day out for everyone.

“We look forward to once again welcoming some of the best T20 cricketers in the world to our shores, playing alongside our Proteas heroes, and we’re also going to see the next generation of the brightest young South African talent on show,” Smith continued.

“The standard of cricket keeps rising each season, and Season 5 will be no different. What makes Betway SA20 incredible is that it’s for everyone. Whether you’re a lifelong cricket fan, bringing the kids for the first time or just looking for a great day out with friends, there’s a place for you in the stands.”
