GLEESON ADDS TO BETWAY SA20 NUMBERS AT IPL

English seamer Richard Gleeson is the latest Betway SA20 Season 2 player off to the Indian Premier League (IPL) after Chennai Super Kings recruited him as an injury replacement for the remainder of this year's tournament.

The 36-year-old will replace Devon Conway in the CSK squad after the South Africa-born New Zealand batter was ruled out of IPL 2024.

Gleeson featured for Durban's Super Giants in three matches as a temporary replacement for Naveen-ul-Haq before his arrival from international duty with Afghanistan. During his stint, he claimed five wickets with a best of 2/22 against Joburg Super Kings - a spell their sister team likely remembered.

Earlier in his career, Gleeson represented England in six T20Is and has taken nine wickets.
