Four seasons in, Betway SA20 has already produced its fair share of monster hits that has commentators reaching for new adjectives.

1. Dewald Brevis: MI Cape Town v Joburg Super Kings, 14 January 2023

The one that announced Season 1's biggest talking point. Brevis didn't even look up as he dispatched veteran JSK spinner Aaron Phangiso 99 metres into the Cape Town night - the no-look six that would become a trademark of the youngster’s game in the years that followed.

2. Will Jacks: Durban's Super Giants v Pretoria Capitals, 30 January 2024

Jacks didn't just clear the rope at Kingsmead - he cleared the ground. His 108-metre six off DSG’s West Indian allrounder Keemo Paul sailed out of the stadium entirely, one of the rare hits in SA20 history to leave the venue altogether.

3. Donovan Ferreira: Joburg Super Kings v Durban's Super Giants, 1 February 2025

Batters have long enjoyed ball-striking at the Bullring due to the thin Highveld air that allows the ball to travel further. 

And JSK’s Ferreira took full advantage when he launched an assault on Naveen-ul-Haq by clearing the Wanderers roof itself - 109 metres of pure disdain for one of the ground's most famous features.

4. Jason Smith: Sunrisers Eastern Cape v MI Cape Town, 18 January 2026

The newest entry on this list and already one of the biggest. Smith went no-look on Marco Jansen - no small statement against one of the competition’s leading bowlers - and cleared the big screen with a 109-metre blow that sent Smith all the way to the ICC T20 World Cup.

5. Heinrich Klaasen: Durban's Super Giants v Sunrisers Eastern Cape, 20 January 2024

Klaasen's power has never needed much introduction, and this one landed the proof on the Kingsmead roof itself. A 105-metre strike off Liam Dawson, launched with the kind of clean, effortless timing that makes brutal hitting look almost unhurried.
