The Joburg Super Kings have a squad that is capable of producing fireworks throughout the SA20 league. The Joburg-based team has plenty of T20 experience. Skipper Faf du Plessis has played in over 300 T20 matches and Lewis Gregory has played over 150 T20 matches. Du Plessis has the record for the highest score at the Wanderers in T20I cricket after posting a quick fire 119 off just 56 balls against the West Indies in 2015. 

Another player to watch for Joburg Super Kings is Maheesh Theekshana who will bring IPL experience to the SA20 as he played for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. 

Conditions at the Wanderers are perfect for explosive and entertaining cricket and Joburg Super Kings have built their team around fast bowlers. All-rounder Lewis Gregory brings a balanced look to this exciting team. Gregory is a proven leader having captained the England Under-19 team. Imagine a sold-out Wanderers chanting Gregory’s name as he is introduced at the death to bowl the final over in the final of the inaugural SA20. Gregory finds his target with the perfect yorker and the right medium fast bowler has clean bowled him. Could Gregory prove to be the hero for Joburg Super Kings? 

Or picture this, it is a full house at the Wanderers. Janneman Malan arrives at the crease during an epic final against Lance Klusener’s Durban’s Super Giants and his team need 36 runs to win.
