Originally from the Free State, Du Plooy now qualifies as an Englishman and has stated his intention to hopefully represent the Three Lions soon. His experience gained on the English County Championship circuit has certainly helped his development as he now plays with a great deal of freedom and expression. His move up the order to join captain Faf du Plessis has also worked a charm.
