YOU’VE VOTED, AND THE MOST DESTRUCTIVE INNINGS IS…

During the month of April, we looked back at 6 of the most destructive innings of Betway SA20 Season 2 and asked our fans to vote for which one they believed was the best.

Well, we’ve tallied the votes and 41% of you have decided that Heinrich Klaasen’s match-defining knock for Durban’s Super Giants against Joburg Super Kings in Qualifier 2 was the most destructive innings of 2024.

Klaasen’s 74 off 30 balls at the Wanderers had it all. He klapped 7 sixes. Two of which were cleanly caught one-handed in the crowd seeing them join the list of Betway Catch R2 Million winners for Season 2. The 32-year-old also showed his fieriness during a few verbals with Nandre Burger - who may have had the last laugh in claiming his wicket… but only after DSG’s talisman had all but secured their place in the Final and his place atop the Player of the Season rankings.

Ultimately, Klaasen’s innings was the clear winner with Will Jacks’ League-record 101 off 42 balls against DSG and Marco Jansen’s 71 not out off 31 balls against Paarl Royals each picking up 18% of the votes.
