Sunrisers Eastern Cape have a star-studded lineup who will aim to be the kings of the SA20. Right hand batsman Aiden Markram was named the 2021 T20I Cricket South Africa player of the year and he has found the boundary over 200 times throughout his T20 career. Fans can expect to see plenty of fours and sixes from Markram. Tristan Stubbs has an incredible T20 strike rate of 159.17 and Sunrisers Eastern Cape know they have a player who can win them a game. Stubbs made his T20I debut against India on the 9th of June 2022. The future looks bright for Stubbs and he is the perfect player to entertain fans and guide his team to victory throughout the SA20. JJ Smuts is an aggressive opening batsmen and once he gets going he is hard to stop. Smuts enjoys having a slog and he has hit over 120 sixes throughout his T20 career. Between Smuts, Markram and Stubs, Sunrisers Eastern Cape will expect to post high totals close to 200 and they will back themselves to chase. Marco Jansen and Sisanda Magala will combine on the bowling front. Jansen is 2.06 metres tall and he is a fast bowler with an eye for the wicket. Jansen has a BBI of 3/25 in T20 cricket and he will be fired up to make a statement and become a hero during the SA20. Sisanda Magala is a man on a mission. Magala was the leading wicket-taker in the domestic one-day and T20 cups in 2020-2021 and he was selected in the Proteas limited-overs squad to play Pakistan in April 2021.
