PROTEAS CALL ON STUART BROAD'S LORD'S EXPERTISE
The Proteas Men’s Test side have called on the vast experience of Betway SA20 commentator Stuart Broad in preparation for the once-off World Test Championship final against Australia at Lord’s next week.
The former England fast bowler claimed 604 wickets in 167 Test matches during his distinguished international career.
The 38-year-old is second only behind his long-time new ball partner James Anderson on England’s all-time Test wicket-takers list.
He is also the leading wicket-taker against the Aussies ever, having bagged 153 wickets off England’s Ashes rivals.
Furthermore, Broad was often portrayed as the Ashes pantomime villain during contests against Australia, courting controversy especially after edging the ball to slip and standing his ground at Trent Bridge in 2013.
Broad’s vast knowledge of playing 28 Tests at Lord’s, where he claimed 113 wickets, will also prove invaluable to the Proteas.
The former seam bowler has spent the past two seasons in the commentary booth at Betway SA20 - alongside Proteas Test batting coach, Ashwell Prince - where his insight and technical expertise has enlightened viewers on SuperSport’s broadcast.

Broad will join the Proteas on June 9 - two days prior to the Test - and will work with the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Marco Jansen, Dane Paterson, Lungi Ngidi, Wiaan Mulder and Corbin Bosch.
