RICKELTON TOPS LIST AS MICT BACK LOCAL TALENT FOR SEASON 3
MI Cape Town have announced their retention list of South African players retained for Betway SA20 Season 3.
Prolific opener Ryan Rickelton is the headline act after a fantastic Season 2. Rickelton became the first batter in Betway SA20 history to break the magical 500-run barrier with the destructive left-hander eventually finishing on 530 runs at an average of 53.
He will be joined by his opening partner Rassie van der Dussen. The pair etched their names into the record books against the Joburg Super Kings with a mammoth 200-run partnership off just 93 balls at The Wanderers.
Proteas fast bowler Kagiso Rabada will once again spearhead the MICT attack, while batting prodigy Dewald Brevis remains a firm part of the blue and gold family.
The remaining retained South African players include all-rounders George Linde and Delano Potgieter and the exciting wrist-spinner Thomas Kaber.
Season 2 Rookie Connor Esterhuizen will also continue his MICT journey after now being incorporated into the squad.
