JSK RECRUIT ENGLAND'S JONNY BAIRSTOW FOR BETWAY SA20 SEASON 3

Joburg Super Kings have secured the services of England ODI World Cup winner Jonny Bairstow for Betway SA20 Season 3.

Bairstow was an integral part of England’s 2019 World Cup-winning squad, where he formed one half of a destructive opening partnership.

The 34-year-old is an experienced top-order batter and is a capable wicketkeeper.

Bairstow has played 287 internationals across formats for England. This includes 100 Tests, 107 ODIs and 80 T20Is.

He has totalled 11 581 runs since his ODI debut against India at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff back in 2011.

The explosive right-hander has played 210 T20 matches across various leagues including the Indian Premier League, Pakistan Super League, Caribbean Super League and Australia’s Big Bash.

Bairstow’s return to the Wanderers for SA20 Season 3 will rekindle fond memories of the Bullring after being part of the England Test squad, which clinched a memorable 2016 series win over the Proteas in Johannesburg.

He becomes the fifth English player to don JSK colours, after George Garton and Lewis Gregory in Season 1 with Moeen Ali and Sam Cook featuring in Season 2.

JSK's previous English players are George Garton, Lewis Gregory, Moeen Ali and Sam Cook.
