FOR THE RECORD: SEASON 2 MOST CATCHES

'Catches win matches' the old cricket adage goes. So it's rather apt that the list of most catches in Betway SA20 Season 2 is dominated by players from the two teams who performed best, Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Durban's Super Giants.

Nine players took six catches or more this past campaign, with Heinrich Klaasen ultimately emerging on top, with 10 catches - reiterating the incredible season the DSG talisman had in 2024. Klaasen was followed closely by Sunrisers' Patrick Kruger and Aiden Markram. Kruger might be an unexpected name, but his three catches in the Final shot him right up the leaderboard. Two days earlier, Klaasen had done the same in a complete all-round performance against Joburg Super Kings in Qualifier 2, before his take off Jordan Hermann in the final sealed the deal for him.

Markram, meanwhile, took the catch of the season... an incredible leaping reverse one-handed 'worldy' in Qualifier 1 that had the Newlands crowd, broadcasters and social media awe-struck.
