THE VOTES ARE IN, AND YOUR FAVOURITE BETWAY SA20 BOWLER IS…
During the month of May, we gave our fans 12 options from the most successful bowlers across the two seasons of Betway SA20 Season 2 and asked them to vote for their favourite.
The votes are now in and Lungi Ngidi has emerged victorious with 35% of the vote. The Paarl Royals fast bowler, who has claimed 24 wickets across the two seasons of SA20, started Season 2 in top form - with the highlight being a four-for against Pretoria Capitals at Centurion, his domestic home ground.

The 28-year-old's influence on the Royals team was evident when he missed the Eliminator against Joburg Super Kings through injury and the boys in pink lacked firepower.
In our vote, Ngidi was a clear winner ahead of Ottniel Baartman who was chosen as the favourite of 22% of our respondents. The reigning Bowler of the Season is also the League's leading wicket taker two seasons, with 30 scalps overall, and is showing his quality at the ongoing T20 World Cup.

Third place, meanwhile, was claimed by his Sunrisers Eastern Cape teammate, and Season 2's Rising Star of the Season, Marco Jansen. The 24-year-old's five-for in the Final against Durban's Super Giants took him to the top of the Season 2 wicket takers tally (with 20), which leaves him two behind Baartman overall.
