MATCH OFFICIALS NAMED FOR BETWAY SA20 SEASON 2 FINAL

The match official appointments for the Season 2 Final of the Betway SA20 has been announced.

Stephen Harris and Babalo Gcuma will be the standing umpires in the showpiece match between Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Durban's Super Giants. Both are in their second season umpiring in South Africa's premier T20 league.

Harris (43) has been the standing umpire in nine Season 2 fixtures and Gcuma (47) also stood in nine matches leading up to the Final. Saturday's match will be their second SA20 match as a pair, after they ran the Qualifier 1 on Tuesday this week, featuring the same teams and also at Newlands.

The panel of Match Officials for the Betway SA20 Season 2 Final are Stephen Harris and Babalo Gcuma as standing umpires as well as Arno Jacobs (TV umpire) and Abdoellah Steenkamp (reserve umpire).

Gcuma, was the first recipient of the Umpire Exchange Programme between the League and the England and Wales Cricket Board’s (ECB), The Hundred, during the off season. He and Harris were also both promoted to the ICC’s International Panel last year.

Supporting them as TV umpire will be Arno Jacobs (46) and Abdoellah Steenkamp (49) will serve as reserve umpire.

Vastly-experienced Gerrie Pienaar, meanwhile, will oversee proceedings - including the toss - as match referee having also done so in last year's Final.
