EXCITING SPINNER HEADED TO DURBAN'S SUPER GIANTS

Durban’s Super Giants are adding exciting Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad to their Betway Season 2 squad.

The unorthodox left-arm spinner replaces Sri Lankan speedster Dilshan Madushanka in the DSG setup.

Noor burst onto the scene during IPL 2023 by taking 16 wickets in 13 matches at an impressive economy of 7.82 for the eventual runners up, Gujarat Titans (for whom David Miller also plays).

Just 18 years old, Noor then went on to represent Afghanistan in the recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup where he took five wickets in the two games he played - contributing to the nation’s best ever ODI World Cup campaign.

Noor will be eager to find out that his new home ground Kingsmead tends to be spin-friendly, and his captain Keshav Maharaj will have all the insider knowledge he might need.

Furthermore, he will also have fellow Afghan compatriot, Naveen-ul-Haq, for company. The speedster will also be making his SA20 bow when Season 2 gets underway on 10 January 2024.

The Super Giants will kickstart their campaign on 11 January 2024 in front of their faithful with a headline clash against MI Cape Town.
